Cercis canadensis (Redbud)

- Flower Color: Pink or white
- Plant Size: 20-30 ft. tall
- Planting Site: Full sun to light shade, good drainage
- Landscape Use: Good small tree for naturalizing
- Comments: Cold hardy; yellow fall color; native tree; tolerates acidic soils.

Cornus kousa (Kousa or Chinese Dogwood)
- Varieties: Milky Way
- Flower Color: 4-pointed creamy white bracts are 2-3 in. across
- Plant Size: 20-30 ft. (height and spread)
- Planting Site: Full sun to partial shade
- Landscape Use: Small patio or specimen tree
- Four season interest. Red raspberry-like fruit in fall
- Comments: not highly drought tolerant. Blooms 2-3 weeks later than native dogwood (Cornus florida). Exfoliating bark after 10 years.
