Our family farm is located in the heart of what was known as Little Texas in northeast Shelby County...6 miles outside of Arlington. We are the third generation to farm this land. We raise Black Angus momma cows and calves. We raise laying hens on pasture, also. Our girls live in a mobile chicken coop...a school bus-turned-chicken-coop! We move them around the farm so they can search for bugs, worms, grass and seeds to their hearts' content! After they put themselves to bed at night, we close them in the bus for added protection so they can enjoy a stress-free night's sleep. We let them out in the mornings as we feed them natural, non-GMO feed and well water. This is also when we gather eggs. We can tell they enjoy the freedom of expressing their chicken-ness...running, chasing, scratching, cackling, pecking, breathing fresh-farm-air, sunning, and dust bathing because they give us beautiful, delicious, nutritious eggs.
