Additional Information: Knoxville brewery located on the South Knoxville Waterfront! Printshop Beer Co. brews a range of American-style craft beers, from our hop-forward flagships to seasonal and small-batch releases. In addition, we offer cider and flavorful infusions. By brewing a range of American-style craft beers?from our hop-forward flagships to seasonal and small-batch beers that can be light and clean, dark and toasty, or funky and sour?we fulfill craft customers? desires for both consistently-available beers and limited-release, experimental batches. Our mission can be summarized in 3 words: Local. Craft. Beer. As part of Knoxville?s South Waterfront development area, Printshop is a short walk from the Island Home neighborhood and River's Edge Apartments in addition to several parks, trails, and outdoor recreation areas. Our neighbors stop in for a variety of reasons: drinks after work, beers before or after an evening downtown, and even post-workout refreshments. The building was previously used by Stubley-Knox Litho for its printing business, and we tried to keep much of the building?s character as we renovated the space. Several design elements incorporating both the old and the new can be found throughout the taproom, including reclaimed barn wood from Johnson City, tabletops repurposed from a printer?s cabinet left in the building, and a mosaic tile tap wall. We hope is to create a community space for the SoKno area. The tasting room is designed to be a comfortable, relaxing place to spend time with friends or to potentially make new friends. The space itself is designed to be flexible, with movable tables that allow us to accommodate any size of group, small or large, or host events for local organizations and groups. Our overall brewing philosophy is to let the ingredients shine by taking care to use them thoughtfully and purposefully. Hoppy beers are generally designed to highlight one or two hop varieties, allowing customers to taste specific characteristics of the different hop varieties. Saison recipes are crafted with the yeast in mind?the grains and hops used are meant to complement (rather than overshadow) the flavors produced by the yeast. Printshop is also a proud craft malt certified brewery. We decided to make this investment to benefit our customers, community, and the craft beer industry because we believe that it is important to support small, local, and independent craft malthouses. After all, craft beer deserves craft ingredients.
