Additional Information: In the beginning of COVID-19, The HWY 79 Farmers Market opened in June of 2020. The market gave the community an opportunity for some normalcy during this time of social distancing. The first weekend with 7 vendors over 300 members of the community and surrounding areas visited the market. This year in our fifth season, the market is excited to able to accept SNAP benefits. The market has more than tripled its numbers of vendors and continues to add new faces and is still accepting applications. The market does not limit its vendor to be from Stewart County, vendors from the surrounding counties are invited. It is located in the center of Dover in the parking behind the county courthouse at the red light. The market will be open every Saturday, starting May 25 through September.
