My name is Rex Hart I am born and raised from a small town called Yuma about 20 minutes east of Jackson. I grew up working on the farm and with the public wether it was doing habitat work for wildlife, helping my grandmother in her gardens and then at night stay with my mother at her mother's restaurant at the time. I have always found joy in working with the land and with people. As I grew older I went to school and worked jobs that paid the bills, but I never really felt content. While looking through some of my mother's invoices I was seeing what she was spending yearly on produce and I thought hey, maybe I can do this, and she could buy from me if my quality could meet or exceed her current venders (which it did). I made a decision to start saving my money and focused heavily on finance while working a full time job 45 minutes away from home. After getting extremely lucky in a risky market I sold out and decided I was going to quit my job and focus on doing something that I felt purpose in, and that happened to be agriculture. I started out with one small garden, 2200 sq. ft. high tunnel and a lot of high hopes and big dreams. As of today, July 15th I am currently supplying not only my mother's restaurant but other local businesses as well. What started out as a small garden project has now turned into a 16 acre operation with multiple employees that I could not be more thankful for in today's time. We opened our first brick and mortar farm market store where I supply a large percentage of all vegetables that come through and we just celebrated our 1 year anniversary of being open to the public. I am so blessed and very thankful to be where I am today. I have a lot to learn and a long way to go but I am excited for the future! Thanks -Rex
