Chuck Swan State Forest

The Chuck Swan State Forest is located on 24,280 acres 25 miles north of Knoxville in Union and Campbell counties and is boundaried on three sides by Lake Norris. The Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency retains 10 in-holdings (455 acres), and actively manages approximately 1,500 acres of wildlife food plots. The forest is home to 53 cemeteries, one active church congregation, one firing range and miles of drivable roads. The forest also offers opportunities for horseback riding, hunting, fishing, mountain biking and caving.

We have 2 primitive campsites at the entrance of the state forest as the forest is for DAY USE ONLY. We have 6 picnic areas, 4 of which have lake views and one having a spring and the other one having a 100 foot firetower adjacent to it.
