Herbed Tomato Crostini

You will need:
2 cups seeded, chopped tomatoes
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
1 tablespoon capers
1 teaspoon chopped fresh oregano
1 baguette
2 tablespoons olive oil

Slice baguette into half-inch slices and brush one side of each slice with the olive oil. Place on a baking sheet with the olive oil side up and toast at 400 degrees for 6 minutes. Serve warm or at room temperature with the Herbed Tomato mixture.

Yield: 16 appetizers
