In 2018, we bought a 17 acre former dairy farm in the heart of Bristol, Tennessee. Although the property and barns were in desperate need of some TLC, not uncommon with 100+ year old structures, we immediately fell in love with our farm. After months of what can only be described as a roller coaster ride, we closed on our property in September of 2018. We spent the fall and winter getting the buildings back to usable condition and the landscape under control. We added new fencing, and shortly after, goats, cows, chickens, ducks, guineas, hogs, a donkey, some rabbits, and probably some other critters I failed to mention, to our farm. In February of 2019, we applied for and were approved to be members of the Tennessee Industrial Hemp Pilot Program. We are excited to be able to be a part of this growing movement. We are proud to have the opportunity to be growing this wonderful plant in virgin fields, and to know without a doubt that they have never been treated with any chemicals. All of our plants are started from seed and hand-transplanted to our no-till field without ever touching heavy machinery. We use only all natural, chemical-free fertilizers and pure rain water. Our harvest process is also done completely by hand. We believe the best way to produce a quality product is by getting our hands dirty and never cutting corners to take the easy way out.
