Additional Information: Since 2002, the farm has grown to include a vineyard, pumpkins and our retail meat business. From 2002 to 2012, Weaver Farms had a contract to raise pigs. In 2012, when the contract expired we chose a new direction. In 2013, we began raising pigs for meat to sell at local farmers markets. Throughout the history of our farm, we have always raised pigs in one way or another. However, when we decided to begin our retail pork adventure, we became intertwined in the process from the very beginning to the very end?all the way to the customer's table. We?ve since have added beef and lamb to our retail meat business. We have been blessed with passion and responsibility to take care of the land around us. We believe in using good stewardship practices such as no-till, cover crops, and reducing inputs to conserve and enhance the resources we have been given for future generations. Our family farm passed down for generations started this leg of its journey with Ray and his wife Elaine, growing to include Jamie, his wife Ashley and their three children: Sarah, Elliott and Grady. Each person plays a vital part in operating of our family farm. Ray and Jamie take on the main load of daily farm tasks. Elaine runs errands and keeps the boys fed. In addition, Ray and Elaine work the farmers markets with the grandchildren helping. We all pitch in during sweet corn and pumpkin season. We sell mostly at farmers markets. Feel free to call us to schedule an appointment to pick up on farm.
