Additional Information: Hours: Monday-Thursday 9 to 6:00 pm, Friday and Saturday 9 to 7:00 pm and Sunday 11 to 5:00 pm. Sumner Crest Winery opened in June of 1997 because of a love for Tennessee grown fruits and a love for wines. Convenient to I 65, the winery is open 363 days a year- only closed on Easter and Christmas Come in and see the 1930 Roadster on Display as well as other antiques and a couple of other classic cars to view. There is a large unique gift shop that has a nice selection of other Pick TN Products for sale. Wines: Chardonnay, Music City Princess, Steuben, Sumner Queen, Niagara, Muscadine, Vin Rouge, Duke of Earl, Robertson King, Red Muscadine, New Deal Sweet Red Dessert Wines: Orlinda Gold, Portland Strawberry Blush, Bonnie Blue, Tennessee Blackberry, Ruby Port The winery also makes homemade white wine chicken salad and chipotle pimento cheese, which are sold in boxed lunches to enjoy on the patio. Portland has long been known to be the "Strawberry Capital" of middle TN, but also has the Days Gone By Museum, and Five Chefs for a great lunch. Also 5 minutes north is Kentucky Downs which offers live horse racing and new casino with instant game racing Slot machines. The winery is only 30 minutes north of Nashville so several locations within a short driving distance. Exit 117 Off I 65. Turn at Shell Service Station.
