I have a small farm of raised beds where I grow veggies and herbs, I like to focus on the unusual and unique variety, such as black pearl peppers, tiger stripe tomatoes, and pineapple sage, just to name a few. I also grow cacti and succulents in my greenhouse, and propagate popular and rare houseplants.
I will be acquiring honeybees this year and I am excited to start beekeeping.
I have planted native plants, added birdbaths, birdhouses and feeders, bat houses, and butterfly puddlers for the natural wildlife, and I try to be as sustainable as possible. I use a composter to cut down on food waste and recycle the compost to my raised beds, I use rain water for irrigation, I do not use pesticides or non-organic yard sprays. My tiny farm is TN Smart Yard certified, a Monarch Waystation, and Certified Wildlife Habitat.
