Why DeLactable? DeLactable is the only lactose free whole milk dark chocolate made in the U.S. We use a limited number of natural products producing 35 and 45% Cacao milk chocolate. Federal regulation requires milk chocolate to have only 10% chocolate and on average is 50% sugar. Why make lactose free whole milk, when converting milk chocolate into a lactose-free variant is a difficult task? The answer: lactose intolerance. Approximately 1/3 of the U.S. (70% worldwide) population has some degree of lactose intolerance. There are very few products available for such individuals, particularly confections. DeLactable intends to fill this void with quality, small batch, handcrafted lactose free confections.
