About Us Bringing American Flowers Back The Nashville Cut Flower Collective was born out of the desire to bring Middle Tennessee flower growers together for support, education and collaboration. With the power of the group, passionate flower growers can reach more stores and designers than alone. Unfortunately, the American Flower Industry has dwindled from its place of prominence. Cheaper labor, production and year-round warm weather took flower production to countries closer to the Equator. However, flowers grown overseas need to be harvested well in advance and sprayed with numerous chemicals to survive their journey to the United States. Flowers imported internationally have shorted vase life, chemical residue and contribute to systems that hurt the environment and workers.
