It all started with 4 chickens that we inherited with our property. We decided to embrace the homestead lifestyle and be more self efficient. Tess created Stewart a true Appalachian Sourdough Starter. After lots of trial and error she created the perfect "Appalachian Sourdough Loaf." She started selling bread and other baked goods to co-workers and neighbors. Before she knew it she left her nursing career to full time bake for the community. Our goal is to use as many local ingredients as possible and use resources in our region to bring high quality goodies to every home in East TN. If we dont have it, we source it out with local farmers and producers. Its important to know when you buy our products not only are you supporting our homestead but you are supporting tons of other small businesses in the area. We strive on fresh and tasty. So we offer never sliced, never frozen sourdough bread and baked goods in a variety of stores and farmers markets throughout the region. We also do pre-orders, meet-ups, and farm pick ups. Along with bread we offer non-GMO free range eggs, herbicide and pesticide free vegetables, pasture raised chicken, whole and half hogs, jellies, jams, and pickled veggies.
