Celeste Miguel’s is rooted in family, culture, and food made with love. I’ve been making these plant-based empanadas for decades, and they are deeply personal to me. This dish is my heart and my love language. Inspired by my children, Celeste and Miguel, these empanadas have been shared for years and are still a favorite, often requested special occasion meal. Everything is homemade using thoughtfully prepared plant-based ingredients like sofrito, and whole foods like black beans, potatoes, and locally sourced vegetables. I source my dough from local Mexican markets and honor traditional flavors and techniques. At the market, I’ll offer empanadas ready to cook at home, warm samples, special recipe mayo-ketchup, and homemade chimichurri, which I prepare on site and sell in mason jars fresh to enjoy. Food brings people together, and my goal is to offer something comforting, familiar, and made with genuine care.
