Additional Information: Mama's Earth's inspiration comes from the cooking of our grandparents who came to the U.S. from the Middle Eastern city of Aleppo, renowned for its cuisine, and our Mother, the founder of Joyce?s Kitchen, who carries on making those traditional recipes to this day. Our products reflect the Aleppian culture of our past and the recipes and flavors we enjoyed growing up. Today, we honor our mothers, Sittos (grandmothers) and Giddos (grandfathers) by striving to bring you the very best food the way they served food to their families and to their customers?with love and traditional family recipes passed down through the generations. We are in based in Franklin, Tennessee and continue to sell our products at the Richland Park Farmer's Market in West Nashville, where we started, and through grocers in the Nashville area. We produce several products including ghee, spice blends, hummus, tapenades, and Middle Eastern treats. Ghee, our signature product, is produced using high-cream-content, grass-fed butter. Made with small-batch processing, we guarantee the proper temperature is reached for the lactose, casein, and whey proteins to experience the Maillard reaction. This provides more complete removal of the milk solids while adding a wonderfully toasted flavor that becomes infused with the butter oil. Zaatar is a common Middle Eastern spice traditionally served on flatbreads that enjoys great popularity in the West. It has become a regular ingredient used in salads, sandwiches, and dips, as well as meat and fish rubs. There are many zaatar variations as each Middle Eastern region has its unique blends. Mama's Earth Zaatar blend is influenced by the Aleppian flavors of thyme, sumac, and toasted sesame seeds. This zaatar is then blended in olive oil. Mama's Earth Zaatar is ready to use straight from the jar.
